Dear Participants,
We are sending the second and the last conference announcement with attachments.

1. The conference will start 22nd May (Tuesday) AT 11 a.m. in the conference room (first floor) of the Institute of Nature Conservation, Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków, al. Adama Mickiewicza 33. You will find the plan and more information regarding how to get the Institute in the first attachment, first attachment – map.
2. You will find the detailed plan of the Conference in the second attachment (programme).
3. We would like to inform you that during the Conference there will be three competitions:
I. Competition for the Young Scientists
The competition Committee: prof. dr hab. Lubomira Burchardt, prof. dr hab. Marcin Pliński, prof. Pertti Eloranta, dr hab. Beata Messyasz, dr hab. Wojciech Pęczuła, prof. dr hab. Konrad Wołowski
Competition will be held separately for oral presentation and for poster presentation. The reward will be the payment of the conference fee of the Polish Phycological Society for next year.
Competition requirements and rules:
– the first and presenting author is a person who graduate in 2018 and is no more than 35 years old,
– the novelty of the topic of the presentation and the style of the presentation will be assessed.
II. Competition for the best oral presentation and the best poster presentation in the subject „Microorganisms Ecology”:
The competition Committee: dr Katarzyna Piwosz, prof. dr hab. Barbara Pawlik-Skowrońska, prof. Elliot Shubert, prof. dr hab. Ryszard Gołdyn, Natalia Khomutovska (PhD student)
Competition will be held separately for oral presentation and for poster presentation. The reward will be books.
Competition requirements and rules:
– the first and presenting author is a person who is a student, PhD student or a person who completed the doctorate no later than 3 years ago,
– the novelty and the importance of the presented research will be assessed,
– preparation and the appearance of the presentation (quality of slides and graphs),
– style of presentation and replying to questions.
III. Competition in the subject: “Let’s get to know cyanobacteria better”.
The competition Committee: dr hab. Mikołaj Kokociński, prof. Geoffrey Codd, prof. Jiři Komárek, dr Judita Koreivienè, dr hab. Elżbieta Wilk-Woźniak
The reward will be the payment of the conference fee for International Conference on Toxic Cyanobacteria in Kraków next year.
Competition requirements and rules:
– the first and presenting author is a person, who is under 30 years of age,
– the novelty and the importance of the presented research will be assessed,
– preparation and the appearance of presentation (quality of slides and graphs),
– style of presentation and replying to questions.

4. It is possible to book three single room in the Europejski Hotel for the night 21/22 May.
The price for a room with breakfast is 330 PLN – this is the price with a discount. Please, book directly with the Europejski Hotel: rezerwacja@he.pl. Please refer to participation in the Conference of Polish Phycological Society.

6. Hotel night in the Conference Venue finishes at 10 a.m. The return buses to Krakow will go on Friday depending on the needs of participants, but no later than 10 a.m.
